Rožmberk nad Vltavou / On-arrival training

One of the oldest castles in South Bohemia was built by the Family of Vítek, around the mid-13th century. The medieval disposition of the castle is consisted of the Lower and the Upper Castle. The castle was to become a worthy monument of the Buquoy family´s glory. The present-day sightseeing routh acquaints visitor with the oldest members of the Buquoy family. The last Rožemberks and the White Lady, who is belived to appear in this castle, are mentioned too.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Rosenberg)
And now, On-arrival training, yeah, very nice experience. We had trainig in this castle. Everyday we had a working section, and after that, break, with cookies and tea. The whole session was very productive, we talked about our projets, comunication, EVS, about program Youth in Action, about stereotypes, etc. And the other volunteers, who were from whole Europe ( Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Germany, UK,...), are very nice young people, open minded, positive, creative, etc. We are all different, from various countries, different cultures, but still we are the same. We all came to Czech Republic, to learn something about czech culture, language, make new friends, to contribute organizations in which we are here in Czech Republic, to travel, etc.
It was a great experience, to meet this people, talk with them, laugh with them, yeah, very very nice. And I hope to see them again.

Job-Meetings

I am volunteer in the office of Junák- svaz skautů a skautek ČR. I'm part of a team for the international cooperation, and  I'll also participate in the preparations of Czech Contingent for the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden 2011. Job in the office is currently based on finding some international projects and news from the world of scouts, which must be on czech language, since it will be published in the magazine of scouts, Skauting and Skautský Svět.
About meetings, on Tuesday I was on the first meeting with cub scouts. Their club rooms are located in the small town called Zápy. I had a meeting with Wolves (cub scouts), and later with Firebugs (brownies). Children knew that I would come, and they were prepared to speak English, and it was great. And it was very fun, we played some games, little orientation, since it was the theme of the meeting. On Wednesday I was in the meeting with Rovers (age 15 to 26). Well-organized group of young people. As they entered their club room, they started with the game "Finding maps" . Of course, I joined them. It was great. After a few games, they started playing guitar. They told me that I am always welcome to come back, and now we can share our experience about scouts, also they can practice english, and I can learn a little bit of czech language. They invited me to come next Wednesday also, and I will, with pleasure.

Posao-Sastanci

Volontiram u kancelariji Junák- svaz skautů a skautek ČR.

Fascinating!

A week in Prague, and still all works perfectly.Public transport is still punctual and great, people around me are in the perfect mood, everything is going well.
There is one fascinating thing, which I learnt about people who live in Prague. They are so resistant to cold!
Even though 10 C they are walking in slippers, bearfoot, wearing shorts,... For example, when temperature in Belgrade drops below zero we become slaves of the central heating, while here people will porobably put one more sweater. Incredibly!  And one more thing that I notice, which I do not like, actually, is everywhere they go, they carry their pets, more precisely, their dogs. In trams, subways, restaurant,...For example, you are eating in the restaurant, and suddenly, there is a dog hanging around your legs, out of nowhere. That is what I do not really like, but I will eventually get used to it.

Fascinantno!

Nedelju dana u Pragu, i dalje sve savrseno funkcionise.
Neverovatno!
I jos jedna stvar koju sam primetila, a koja mi se bas i ne dopada, jeste, sto svuda vode svoje ljubimce, tacnije pse.Udjes u tramvaj, metro, restoran, nebitno gde.

"Golden Prague"

"Prague is one of the most popular cities in whole of Eastern Europe. Its attraction is a 600 years old architecture, untouched during the wars. The city itself has been built along the river of Vltava and never seized to charm numerous visitors, photographers, poets,..." Yes! It's all true! Not that i've seen much of the city in past four day, that I'm here, but, as far as I've seen it's WOW. I'm fascinated. "Prague has excellent mass transportation system, with well interconnected buses and trams and high speed subway system." So, if I say: "I'm in the office in five minutes!" it is really five minutes! So punctual and so great!
It is indeed "The Golden Prague", as they say. You have to tour it and see it all. Luckily, I have a year for it!

"Zlatni Prag"
